Terms and Privacy

The Information We Collect
Members and guests knowingly provide specific personal information during event registration. The information typically includes: your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and payment information.  Access to Members Only resources requires members to register by providing limited information.  We may also collect certain non-personal information including the type of browser you are using, the type of operating system you are using, and the domain name of your Internet service provider.

How We Use the Information
We use the information you provide about yourself and your institution to respond to your inquiries, to notify you of any changes or cancellations of ASOPRS conferences, and to provide Society news and services. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list at any, time please contact [email protected].

ASOPRS makes member contact information (email and addresses) available to members in good standing by request and it is available to ASOPRS' staff. Member contact information can also be accessed through the public directories (Member and Fellowship). ASOPRS sells member address mailings lists to non-and for-profit entities, to reach out to members regrading educational events, products and surveys related to the field of oculofacial plastic surgery or of interest. We also make conference registration information available – including emails – to our event sponsors, including exhibitors; however, you are given the opportunity to “opt out” during registration.

The non-personal information gathered may be used to improve the design and content of our site and in aggregate to analyze site usage. We may disclose personal information in response to legal process (e.g., in response to a court order or subpoena). We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency’s request.

Finally, we may disclose personal information in response to a charge-back inquiry from our merchant bank about your payment for goods and/or services. We will not sell or transfer personally identifiable information provided to us to parties outside our association, except as described above.

Online Transactions
ASOPRS uses encryption technology to safeguard your credit card data used in electronic commerce transactions and all transactions occur over secure SSL connections. You have the option as a member to store your credit card information securely, encrypted to auto renew your dues. Your credit card data is not stored or saved by the website if you choose to save a credit card for future use. When you enter the credit card information on the form to be stored, it is passed directly to Authorize.net payment gateway and then it is stored. Authorize.net's CIM service allows for key credit card data to be tokenized and stored on Authorize.net's secure servers. Only reference data is stored on our website.

To help us protect your privacy, you should maintain the secrecy of the logon ID and password you may have set up in connection with your participation in any ASOPRS events.

Cancellations
The cancellation policy for ASOPRS’ meetings can be found in the registration brochure and on the online registration module when registering.

Member dues are non-refundable.
