The ASOPRS Spring Symposium is a members-only meeting.

The 2026 
Spring Scientific Symposium will be held June 11-14, 2026 at the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock in Sedona, Arizona.

Registration Cancellations/Refunds: A full refund will be issued until May 11, 2026 upon receipt of written cancellation notice. Refunds will be less a $150 administrative fee starting May 12, 2026. Refunds will not be made for no-shows (starting June 11, 2026).

Recreational Activity Cancellations: A full refund will be issued until May 11, 2026 upon receipt of written cancellation notice. Refunds will not be made after May 11, as guarantees will have been made and confirmed with deposits.

FEATURED SPEAKER

Katharine A. Phillips, MD

Katharine A. Phillips, MD, is Professor of Psychiatry, DeWitt Wallace Senior Scholar, and Research Director for the Psychiatry Residency at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. She is also Attending Psychiatrist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Phillips graduated with honors from Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Medical School, and she completed her psychiatry residency at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Phillips is internationally recognized for her research studies and clinical expertise in body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). Her research studies on BDD were continuously funded by the National Institute of Mental Health for more than 20 years. Her groundbreaking work has included identification of BDD’s clinical features and morbidity, treatment studies, and development of screening, diagnostic, severity, and insight measures. Her work has also identified important aspects of BDD in cosmetic treatment settings.

Dr. Phillips has published more than 375 articles, chapters, and letters in scientific journals and books, and she has authored or edited 11 books, including multiple books on BDD.

Dr. Phillips has given more than 650 presentations around the world. She has received many honors and awards for her research, clinical work, and other academic contributions. Her awards for her research studies on BDD include a Special Presidential Commendation from the American Psychiatric Association and the 2023 Outstanding Career Achievement Award from the International OCD Foundation.


This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The abstract submission deadline was January 28, 2026. Authors will be notified of inclusion in the program in late-March.
