Accreditation Committee

Purpose
To maintain accreditation of continuing medical education.

Primary Responsibilities

A. Ensure standards in continuing medical education are met to maintain accreditation.
B. Develop and implement policies to comply with accrediting body guidelines.
C. Conduct reviews required by the accrediting body.
D. Submit an annual report to the Board summarizing its activities, achievements, and recommendations.
E. Review charter and policies annually and propose updates to the Board.

Composition
Composed of a Chair and at least five (5) members.

Qualifications
The Chair shall have served on the Accreditation Committee.

Terms
The Chair and members shall serve a three (3) year term and may be appointed to an additional three (3) year term.

Restrictions
Chair and Members may not have financial relationships with ineligible companies during their term.

Time Commitment
15-20 hours per year.
